I have an announcement to make!

Well, it took 18 long and somewhat frustrating months, but Lauren has finally learned to drink out of her sippy cup while standing/sitting up - even walking! This may not sounds like a big deal, but until now this simple sounding task has eluded my little girl.

The main trick is the water has to be filled to the very top of the cup so as soon as she tilts her head even slightly she gets water in her mouth. If she has to work too hard for it, she's not happy. Oh, and she also likes the water cold. Right out of the fridge. She's very particular.

It's an exciting day at our house, damn it!

Lauren has learned to blow kisses, except instead of saying "muah!" she says "DAH!"
Probably the most adorable thing I've ever seen.
