Saying goodbye

I did not get a chance to mention that we had to say goodbye to George on March 26, 2014. It was a very difficult day which I would never want to relive. George was a lovely, loyal member of our family and we still miss him every day, but we know he is no longer sick and suffering.

Lauren and Brier were very fortunate to have known George for as long as they did. He will forever be commemorated through Brier's middle name, Georgia.

Rest in peace Georgie.

Bad mommy

Some days I'm a bad mommy. Today is one of them. Once again we bit off a home reno project that's bigger than the two of us. In addition, we're trying to pull it off while entertaining 2 toddlers. Nearly impossible! My energy was low and my patience was even lower. I was a mommy with a short fuse. Bad mommy.
