In the last month, Lauren has really started to develop into a much happier and lovable baby. She has a lot of mobility through rolling but is still not crawling or scooting yet - so we're both happy. She is doing much better in terms of daytime napping and her nighttime sleep schedule is still 11-13 hours so we have absolutely nothing to complain about there.
She is generous with the smiles but still stingy with the laughing. Many hours of my days are spent dancing singing and generally acting insane just trying to get her to giggle.
I would like time to stop now so we can stay in this moment forever. Everyone else seems to be encouraging her to get older while I am holding on to 7 months.
One sign of progression is that we retired the playmats this week. They were really only acting a speed bumps in the rolling process anyway so we packed them up and put them away. Not long ago her little 7 pound self was enveloped in the wild pattern of the mat and then all of the sudden .....
Shes outgrown the whale.
I guess I can only hope that 8, 9 and 10 months are equally as wonderful and embrace the clock because I'm pretty sure there is no slowing it down.
